About Me

I am on a mission to show women how to be strong in their body, so they can be strong in their life - free to live from their true identity.

My goal is to create a safe environment for women to feel seen, validated and hopeful that they can bring their goals to life through simple and effective tools that last a lifetime.

MY STORY

I began my professional experience in health and wellness over 30 years ago as a personal trainer and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Degree in Human Biology from Grand Canyon University.

And, I was secretly miserable. I was waking up in the night to eat. I couldn’t stop my brain from obsessing about everything I ate, didn’t eat, calorie I burned or didn’t burn. Fixing, controlling, willpower, restriction, food noise and “doing better tomorrow” typified my life. So, I ditched the gym culture, took a leap of faith and went inward to focus entirely on my physical, emotional and spiritual needs.

It was scary at first. I thought eating and weight would spiral out of control. But, the opposite happened and everything changed. I connected with my deeper needs and coping skills that needed to be released. Once I connected all of this to my food and body issues, the landscape changed. I was free.

My priority with food and exercise was now driven by creating positive connections. Over time, my nutrition and exercise practices became who I am, not a to-do list.

I’ve learned that lifting heavy, short but challenging workouts, regulating stress, being in nature, great sleep, mindful eating, and prioritizing foods to keep energy stable are the KEYS to vitality at any season, but especially in mid-life!

I crave food and movement that, in my 50’s, have me in the best shape of my life. I don't need cheat meals or off days because every day is about freedom in my body, my choices and meeting my needs. This way, vitality can be found in a salad or a piece of cake, a hard workout or extra sleep.

MY LIFESTYLE

Life for me is about FREEDOM. It’s my why behind how I exercise, eat and live.

So, 3 years ago, we sold our house, built a custom travel trailer and hit the road! We live nomadically, spending summers in the Colorado mountains and winters on the beaches of Mexico. We enjoy the deserts of Utah and Arizona in the spring and fall.

I love being a mom to my 3 adult kids and wife to my adventure partner, Mike. I am deeply grateful for rich time with friends and family, whom we get to visit now all over the country.

I am a certified Mind Body Eating Coach, Precision Nutrition Master Coach, OPEX Method Fitness Trainer and National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach. It is with great privileged and responsibility, that I serve women in mid life years who are inspired to thrive in this powerful season and prepare their body, mind and heart for the best years ahead!

I use tried and true practices to revolutionizing health through a client centered, fully personalized coaching experience. Our focus: Get Strong!

We do this by building muscle, of course. Being strong also means a strong metabolism, gut health, resilience, and adherence to your values, identity and purpose.

My greatest desire is to help YOU rise above all of the noise of our diet and fitness culture, put to rest all of the doubt about yourself and your abilities, and reach your TRUE potential! Strong. Free. Empowered. Impactful.
